Nikki looked up from a private moment she was having with herself. She was on the verge of tears. Her heart pounding, fingers shaking, until she heard his calm voice.
Kellan, was staring down out her, with his hand reached out. A gesture that feigned her to get up, and stop feeling sorry for herself. She grabbed a hold of his rough grip, already feeling ten times better that he'd come for her. Just like he told her. She was thankful for such great friends in her life. She was thankful for Kellan.
"Hi," her hand snatched away from his to wipe an escaping tear from the corner of her eye. "Sorry, I look a mess,"
"You look beautiful," his voice lowered. "I have a hotel out of the city, I would like if you'd come. So we could talk things over,"
Nikki gazed through the door frame that lead out into the main room. At least a hundred people were there. That didn't stop her from spotting her husband who by now speaking with officials. He'd gotten very good at it."He wants to talk to me later on tonight about the changes he wishes to make."
Kellan looked in the direction she was glaring at. "Rats know the way of rats,"
He took a small step back from the blow that Nikki paid to his gut. His very toned gut. "Stop it. Ashley's nothing like them.'
"I said, rats know the way of rats. It doesn't mean one would apply it."
Nikki fumed.
"I think your forgetting who my father is." he pouted, while rubbing his stomach. "Come with me?" he tried again. "No one will notice. Well, until they need you."
"Let me get my things,"
