Chadwick grinned in her neck. The smell of coffee and nature filled his nostrils. “I love you.” he spoke softly, throat caving in. “How did you find me? ” Chadwick pulled back to look in to her face.
“Kali told me,” Margret’s eyes searched his frantically. “What happened to your chin? Your arm?”
“Kellan told Kali?” her fingers hovered over his scarred ones, flinching at the blemish. “He told her I was here?”
“She wants you in Africa. You need to leave.” her voice changed tone. “Malina can’t keep you safe anymore.”
“That’s not why I’m here,” he leaned closer. “Tell Kali to arrange a trip to India on the first of May.”
