“Here you are,” Chadwick patted her face dry. “I’ll be fine,” he promised.
“I don’t want them sending stuff like this to the house,” she hurled the mail straight for the wall. Her arms wrapped around the neck of her younger brother. “I’ll go for you,” she whispered. “You can’t.” he felt her warm breath in the crook of his neck. “They won’t let you” Pulling him forward and studying his eyes, Margret cupped his face. “Once you get in, they won’t let you out,” “I want to do this. For us, Margo” he told. “And when it’s over we’ll all be together, with baba and anne.” “You must promise me something,” she said shaking her head. “Now,” “Anything,” his lips quivered. “You must always believe in something. You can’t live without a belief. And until someone is there to slander your truth. You fight. Do you hear me Chadwick? You give them hell.” “Give them hell,” he nodded. “Give them hell,” he repeated, in present day. Nikki looked up from her papers, towards the Commander in Chief of Russia. “What was that?” Chadwick moved towards the door. His heart weighing down as if it would crash onto the floor for everyone to see. “Nothing,” "Not those," Ashley complained.
Jackson placed the last of the pans onto the counter, with his brows knitting together. "That's all of them," "Are you sure?" her heels slid across the kitchen floor, after kicking them from her aching feet. "Positive," he answered. The light pelted down on the two of them. Jackson always wondered why she kept it so bright. It had been years since he'd seen her, and to be honest, Ashley looked no different. Her hair was about the same length, peeking just over her elbows. Perhaps new highlights appeared, here and there. Although, she wore her makeup like she'd always worn her makeup. Very little of it, with just enough you'd know. “This one,” she gripped a silver frying pan. Jackson took it out of her hand. “Are you still with him?” he nodded towards the couch in the darkened living room. Ashley spotted the grey tee messily tossed over the chair’s arm. “That’s not his,” she plainly stated. “Oh,” Jackson took two eggs in his fist, cracking them on the side of the pan. “I heard about all the drama,” he continued. “I just wanted to see how you were holding up,” The smell of breakfast chorused through the air. “You should stay with me for a while,” she suggested. “I could use a friend,” The popping of the pan sounded for a few moments, as Jackson slowly turned to stare at her back. Ashley felt his eyes, but didn’t shift to look. She continued to place bread in the toaster. “Okay,” he nodded, turning back to the half-cooked eggs, with a quick glare to the shirt. “Okay,” she murmured. “How many times have you tried to touch me today?”
“Chill,” she spat. “Are you coming or not?” “I mean who is this guy really? What if he printed that shit out just to impress you?” he took a sip of his beer. “What if he’s a serial killer?” “Serial killers are as rare as you and me,” she intoned. “Don’t be ridicules.” Leo’s eyes traveled to a family, who’d been enjoying their Christmas Eve breakfast. At least they were happy. Himself, not so much. He’d rather be out at the pub drinking with mates. “What do we have to do?” he groaned. Myra’s eyes lit up, as she pulled a paper from her bag. “He said testing was vital.” HeR eyes scrambled over the stranger’s chicken scratch. “Oh! We’re two of three people to have survived this long.” “Who’s the third?” he began swirling the last of his drink, at the bottom of the cup. Myra squinted, “Malina Greene,” The glass fell from his hand, pounded onto the table, and slipped to the floor with a shatter. Everyone in the small bistro gawked at the two. Myra, pushed dark strands of hair behind her ear as she hurried to clean the mess. “I got it!” a waiter called. “It’s fine,” Leo, not paying any attention, plucked the paper up. It was clear. There was no trickery nor illusion. It read plain and simple: Malina Greene. “Malina?” he breathed. Does this character look famliar??? (HINT HINT) WHO IS HE? HINT HINT “And what is that?” she tossed him a knowing look. Kellan bit his bottom lip, and turned his head to glance over his shoulder.
“My brother,” he murmured. The men that straggled behind Myra desired the same dream as anyone who’d come to discover her. So, why should she help him? A deaf stranger, who’s approach seemed nothing unique of the sort. “Why must you see him so badly? “ Kellan, eyeing every stranger on the street, knew he’d already crossed the line. Asking for his personal needs to be met brewed inappropriate and unprofessional. He was ordered to bring her in. Not to use her. “I need him,” was all he said. Myra giggled under her breath. “Is that all? You need him?” she pointed to a dark-haired man behind them. “You see that bloke there? He almost jumped me yesterday, because he wanted to feel his girlfriend’s touch again. And the other one, couldn’t stop muttering his child’s name. Phillip or something.” ” It’s not about touch or lost. I need him to know something.” Myra stopped in her tracks. “It all relies on memory. They don’t actually exist.” “What if I told you I knew more about your ability than yourself,” Kellan pulled his ID from his pocket. As he placed it in her hands, his body surged with an adrenaline he’d never experienced. And, although it was just for a quick second, he’d swore he dreamed her. She was clear as day. Staring him straight in the eye. “Fun fact,” Myra placed his wallet back in his hand without skin contact. “Don’t touch me unless you’re willing to give me all that cash.” Kellan swallowed shallowly, as he suddenly felt the urge to throw up. “Fun fact numero dos, feeling sick is just another side effect. Most can’t even bare a minute. So, don’t go around acting like you know my body better than I, myself do. And finally, if you’re not government, I’ll go. As long as I can take a friend .” Made this post just for smething new, instead of all story. (Listening Experiance!!!!!) This song is for Kellan and Malina. It sums up there entire relatioship.
I know as far as character development, Kellan and Malina have come far. Usually, when he falls in love, he can be blinded by that person, and that person only. But with Malina, it took him sometime to understand her, and connect with her, not just on a physical level, but a mental level. His physical attraction to her wasn’t instant. Which didn’t mean he wasn’t attracted to her. But it just wasn’t the first thing brought to his attention. Later, in the scene “What Is Touch? (Part 2)” Kellan discovers his physical attraction to her in the line, (“I want to touch you.” Kellan murmured hopelessly.) His true intentions are now established and clear. But how did Malina respond? Well, Malina didn’t stop what she was doing just then. In fact, she went on to lift his shirt and express the same feelings, but with action, instead or words. Oppose to Kellan who vocally said what he wanted. The reason why the kiss stopped was because of the “tension” (as Malina put it) and the underlining rule not to touch one another. As Kellan went in to break this rule, his old self resurfaced. His resistance and longing got in the way. As for Malina (being the rule follower) she quickly folded back, because of the the foreign uncertainty the future could possibly hold for the two. That was my quick analysis. I hope you enjoyed. :) “Shit. Shit. Shit.” Victor rapidly repeated. “Shit,” he finally said, as he fell of his horse with a grunt.
“Victor!” Ashley called. “Are you alright?” “What was that?” he groaned while rolling in the dirt. His arms spread for some support, but he quickly fell back into the grass. “Etain,” she stated. Her arms looped within his, helping him back to his feet. “I’m guessing this was you first time?” “You think?” he breathed slowly. “Where did he go?” his vision began to blur, as he frantically looked about. “Ahead. Something must have happened.” She began hurrying with the bottom of her dress at grasp. “Hold on,” Victor followed. The smell of something burning flourished through his nose only seconds later. It was like no other stint he’d smelt before. It couldn’t compare to wax nor paper. It was so evident, he began to fill faint. First, his head grew light, like a balloon lifting in to the blue sky. Then his legs started to wobble like poorly installed beam post. Ashley held her palm over her lips as she perched closer to the scene. An enormous, sharp piece of metal, was bent at its core, and scorched beyond repair. Just beyond that, was a mirrored display of woods, with obvious refining differences. The side they stood on, was as sunny as day could ever get. Birds carried on singing, leaves continued to fall from the giantlike trees. Despite the reoccuring beauty, the opposite side stormed heavily. Wind pushed and pulled nature with it. Almost, as if it was exercising its glorious strength. Deep in between, Ashley noticed the familiar figure of Etain, with his shoulders hunched in despair. He was both soaking wet, and shaking with anger. He turned to gaze back at the two, who were now looking both horrified and clueless. “What is it?” Victor questioned. “Who did this?” Etain trudged out of the little world, leaving nothing but footprints behind. As he crossed over, he looked Ashley dead in the eye. “My world is now your world.” swiftly he began towards her.“The government can no longer contain us. We must find peace. Or we all go to war.” "What the hell is going on?" Victor questioned. “You lied?” Ashley cursed. “You told me nothing like this could happen. You told me- “ “I know what I told you,” he snapped. “But it’s over. All of it is over.” Victor moved between the two. “What just happened?” “Atrova is not its own planet. Atova has always been on earth, and always will be." his hands flew in exggeration,"Now we got the door wide fucking open.” “Shit,” Victor moaned. “Now what?” Ashley breathed. “What happens?” Etain gazed over his shoulder at the raining woodland. Then glared in to their eyes, before saying. “We fight for our rights,” Ashley watched the man she saved years ago, press a cool kiss on her palm. So, she was right. It was him in the welcoming crowd.
“You live here?” her eyes widened like a curious child at Christmastime. This behavior was far from what a Queen would present herself. Although, this is what he found so intriguing; a woman who wasn’t afraid to be herself, in a position of high expectations. “Yes,” he smiled. “Something familiar?” Victor gazed in to her eyes. “Yes,” he nodded politely. “Is there a reason why you wanted to see me?” he grunted softly as she moved to hug him. “I’m sorry about your family,” she whispered. “I forgot to tell you before I left.” “That has passed. But I thank you for your sympathies.” After a moment of silence, Victor moved his arms to hug her back. And just like that, he wanted to tell her how he felt. He wanted to express how he’d grown feelings for her over time. But he stayed quiet. She was married. There was no room for love. “Now to business,” she said, straightening the dress that looked like she’d been sown into. “I had a very long talk with Etain last night. And I wanted you to know what was going on.” “I know what’s happening. I had a talk with Kellan and Tiago.” “Kellan’s here?” Victor moved along the room at her side. “He explained it to me,” “Then you know about the war?” Victor paused in his tracks, “What war?” Ashley eyed him suspiciously. “Were you just trying to get information out of me?” “Not at all. It’s just, Kellan didn’t tell me that part.” The birds from outside began their evening song. “May I ask against whom?” “This world against ours,” she simply said. “And the surprising thing is, I choose this side.” “And what do you want from me?” “Everyone at home believes that the earth is worth fighting for. I believe that the people there are corrupt. I have faith that we can all live in peace. Together. Here.” She paused. “Is that something you’d believe in?” “That is the sole and only reason why I live here.” “Then join my council,” she finally stated. A roar of laughter sounded through the packed tavern. And in the center of it all was Victor, sharing his strange adventures with uncertainty. Most of the listeners doubted there was actual truth to his words, because of the frequent mention of time travel, but they still found it none the less entertaining.
“Another one!” a woman with curly hair called. Distracted by the sudden presence of both Kellan and Tiago, he was brought back to reality. Placing his beer on the table before him, Victor made his way through the crowd completely forgetting his keen crew. His stare locked on to Kellan, who’d been making conversation to some guy sipping from his pint. “Thank you for your help,” his voice smoothed. Turning around to leave, Kellan was stopped in his tracks. “Kellan,” Victor smiled. “What are you doing here?” “Looking for you,” he mused. “We need to talk.” His hands signed. Victor, not understanding the signs, just nodded and lead the way. As if Tiago heard the full conversation, he caught up with a smirk, brushing his shoulder against his father’s “Told you he’d be here.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” Victor walked backwards, eyes dancing between father and son. “Nothing,” Tiago laughed. “It’s just usually people who don’t feel they fit in, hang out in places like that,” “He’s got a point” Kellan confirmed. Victor ceased walking with an annoyed look on his face. “Is that what you wanted to talk about?” His brows knitted together. Sensing his fading patience, Kellan sighed. “People on earth are beginning to show signs of abnormality. Abnormality that mirrors the people here. Etain calls it a curse. On earth, we call it an epidemic.” “We’ve narrowed it down to a single gene,” Tiago continued. “It differs between people. For example, a sibling can show signs of change while the other may not.” Kellan crossed his arms,” That’s why I’ve been trying to convince a certain group of people to at least test Ashley and Malina.” “Well that’s stupid,” Victor murmured. “So, you agree?” Tiago rolled his eyes at the two. “Malina has been exposed. Ashley hasn’t. We can’t just risk a random group of people, who haven’t been contaminated.” “We’re not completely sure Malina has the gene.” Kellan protested. “Doesn’t matter. She’s been contaminated. And sooner or later the two will come to their senses, and volunteer themselves.” The children hopped around, pushing and squealing in the play area. Women bantered lightly, while primping their hair every so often. And the men, well let’s just say they shared a few light drinks.
Victor, closing in on the square, nodded to a few of the guardsmen aligned at their post. The Queen was finally returning, after years of being away. And boy, was everyone happy! He doubted Etain would greet her at the gate. There were far too many people stalking about. And no one could possibly be trusted. As he stood in the center, Victor tilted his sword’s hilt unconsciously. That’s when he heard the plodding of the horse’s hooves. And veering in, was the familiar faces of guardsmen, and the Queen, with a kind smile on her lips. Out of all the people who gathered, Victor was the very first person to spot her. His eyes admired both her effortless movement to get off the majestic beast, and the uncontrollable laugh she displayed as all the children hurried to give her a hug. She was beautiful in the sunlight. Her blue gaze danced as everyone respectfully took a knee to the grass. Chadwick moved off his horse, and smiled to the people of Atrova. “You’re very popular here,” he whispered closely to her. “Be quiet,” she breathed. “We welcome you my Queen,” Ashley turned her wondering eye to first in command, Officer Berwin Arazorwyn. “We have been anticipating your arrival.” “And I thank you all,” Victor looked at his boots as he felt her stare land on him. “Right this way,” Arazorwyn nodded towards the gated entrance. “The King is expecting you.” “And so, I am,” Etain politely made his way through the crowd. “Excuse me for my lateness.” His leg firmly pressed in to the grass before her. “I hope you can forgive me,” The crowd began whispering to one another. Why? Because this was there first time ever seeing their King bow to anyone. And it wasn’t just anyone. It was Ashley Greene. A human of the earth. Ashley’s cheeks burned a faded red, as his hands wrapped around the back of her legs, slowly pulling her into a hug. “You were missed by all. Perhaps me mostly.” He began to stand to his feet, towering over her completely. “Hi,” she mouthed only for his ears. “We need to talk,” “I agree,” he said reaching for her horses’ reigns. “Thank you, gentlemen. I can take it from here,” Chadwick opened his mouth, but Ashley quickly cut him off. “Them included,” Etain gently began guiding the horse towards the gates. “Anything for the Queen,” he muttered. |
