Eren, behind her, perked up at the sight of his father. The news shocked him more than anything. As strong and brave as Torren seemed a single accident could wipe any face from the earth.
After everyone appeared settled enough, Malina took front and center. Her arms crossed as she gazed to the floor.
"This is hard. Hearing something like that over radio was tough. And I know it was extremely frustrating for the people who went out there to retrieve him. So, I would like to thank you all ." Chadwick looked away. "This will not stop the investigation. We have enough evidence to add premeditated murder to the staggering charges the government face" she began circling the room. "Kellan Lutz will not be bothered in the time of mourning. He is accessed only to Miss. Valcon, Agent Aldemir, and I, myself."
"What if I don't want access to Lutz,"Eren dug his fingers into the edge of Malina's desk.
Just about everyone in the room gawked at Chadwick. He wasn't looking away anymore, he was challenging Malina, right there in the open. The reason the case was possible was because of the very women before him. And he was testing her.
"Excuse me?" she started towards him. Heels clicking on the floor.
"I don't want access to Lutz," he repeated. Tilda's eyebrow shot up. "Matter of fact I don't need access to anything. I'm an agent. I do field work not office work,"
"Agent Aldemir, I don't think I was asking if you wanted to be accessed. I stated that you were. If you have a problem with the case take it to Gordon."
She eyed him so seriously it began to make a couple people shuffle there feet. After a few moments Malina turned back around. " Thank you everyone for your time,"
As people began leaving the room, Tilda moved to shut the doors. "Eren get your stuff we're leaving,"
"Can't handle it?" Malina mindlessly tossed a few papers in her trash.
"Don't screw with me," Chadwick spat at her. "Something like this always happens. There's always some type of price someone pays,"
"Do you want to wait outside Eren?" Tilda sensed something was about to go down. She knew whenever her old roommate got frustrated her face got red, her brow arched, and there was no filter.
"Sure," Eren politely complied. Before he completely disappeared he gave his father one last confused look.
"Now you can have at it," Tilda said.
