Malina blinked once again. " I really don't know,"
Lately it had been awfully quiet since Eren had left. Malina could admit she missed him. He was very annoying at times, but he keep things innocent, even sweet sometimes.
Tilda rolled her sleeve to glance at her watch. " You're pretty but I can't stare at you all day,"
Malina eyed her as she pulled her bag over her shoulder. "Want to come get a drink with me?"
"Nope. I need to finish up some work here. Have fun though,"
"When's the last time you drunk?" her nose twitched in curiosity.
"Honestly?"
"Yes, honestly,"
"Last night," Tilda started towards her. "It was just one and I went to bed afterwards. You people and you're alcohol. Always so shocked when someone else drinks it."
"I just thought you needed a break. I'll take you to one of those really expensive bars so if either of us score a one night stand, and get pregnant, we'll take half of that fat check he's making as a doctor."
A burst of laughter sung through Malina's throat. "That's pretty funny, but I'll pass. I don't want to be holding someone's child in my stomach anytime soon."
And just like that Cameron Lars appeared in the door frame. Tilda swore she heard her own heart stop beating.
"Sorry to interrupt," he scratched the back of his head. "I was given clearance by Gordon to speak to you on behalf of the case,"
"Of course. Come in," she felt her face growing red. Did he hear anything they said?
"Goodnight," Tilda smirked at Cameron on her way out.
"What do you have for me?" she settled at her desk, trying to look as professional as possible.
"Medical records of Torren Castro. The real medical records. These were kept in private places in case of some sort of government outbreak happened. Each doctor was given a number of files to protect." she flipped through a few pages.
Just by seeing the photographs and quick summaries, she knew she had something big. This single piece of evidence could very well be the win of the case.
"Dr. Lars how long will you be in town?"
